SNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) and Broadband annual advance payment schemes revised across all telecom circles

The modification in advance or higher payment option for BSNL Broadband subscribers across India has been notified by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) with immediate effect. According to the most recent information, starting on November 11, 2020, subscribers of BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH), DSL Broadband, BBo Wi-Fi (Broadband over Wi-Fi), and Bharat Air Fiber are eligible for the upgraded programs.

With the exception of the recently introduced BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) plans Fiber Basic 449, Fiber Basic Plus 599, Fiber Value 799, Fiber Premium 999, and Fiber Ultra 1499, revised advance payment schemes are applicable to both PAN India and Circle Specific plans. Customers who are presently signed up for any of the previous broadband plans may choose to pay in advance on a revised half-yearly, annual, two-year, or three-year schedule.

Customers of BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH), DSL Broadband, BBoWiFi (Broadband over WiFi), and Bharat Air Fiber will be eligible for revised advance payment schemes starting on November 11, 2020, for all telecom circles.

With immediate effect beginning on November 11, 2020, all telecom circles must use the amended advance payment systems. The Fiber Basic 449, Fiber Basic Plus 599, Fiber Value 799, Fiber Premium 999, and Fiber Ultra 1499 plans are not affected by the new schemes. Customers in all other broadband or FTTH plans can, therefore, select any of the aforementioned advance payment schemes based on their needs.

New Half-Yearly Payment Scheme

In accordance with the new ruling, BSNL has launched a half-yearly payment plan that allows a client to get 6 months of service by paying for 5.5 months’ worth of rent up front.

Revised Annual Payment Scheme

Customers that choose the yearly advance payment option must pay for 10.5 FMC months in order to receive 12 months of service.

Revised Two Year Advance Payment Scheme

Customers that choose the two-year advance payment option must pay for 20.5 FMC months in order to receive 24 months of service.

Revised Three Year Advance Payment Scheme

Customers that choose the three-year advance payment option must pay for 30.5 FMC months in order to receive 36 months of service.

How can I change my current plan to Half-Yearly / Annual / Two Year / Three Year advance payment scheme?

By filing an application at the closest BSNL Customer Service Center, customers can switch their FTTH/Broadband plan from a monthly payment schedule to an advance payment schedule. Customers can, however, use the BSNL Selfcare Portal to update their current Broadband / FTTH package without going to the BSNL Customer Service Center.

Please leave a remark with your thoughts on these recently introduced advance payment methods, dear readers.
