Exclusive: Telecentro Argentina Chooses Nokia for Network Transformation

Vi has added two new circles to support Wi-Fi calling.

In order to upgrade its network architecture and defend against DDoS assaults, Telecentro Argentina has teamed with Nokia. Deep field Defender, Cloud Intelligence, and Nokia’s IP solutions will all offer comprehensive network threat protection, highly scalable capacity, and energy efficiency.

The major telecommunications provider in Argentina, Telecentro Argentina, has teamed with Nokia for network modernization and DDoS defense. Nokia’s IP technologies will be used in the deployment to provide a network with highly scalable capacity, unmatched performance, unmatched security, and lower energy usage. The network will also use Nokia’s FP5 routing silicon-powered 7750 Service Router (SR) architecture and 7250 interconnect routers (IXR) for broadband aggregation.

FP5’s future-ready 800GE capability

The FP5 routing silicon, which enables the construction of more energy-efficient, higher-capacity IP networks, is a crucial factor in Telecentro’s choice of Nokia. Telecentro will be more quickly able to handle future traffic increases sustainably and more cheaply because to the FP5’s 800GE capabilities.

Telecentro to deploy Nokia’s DDoS security solution.

Deep field Defender, Nokia’s DDoS security technology, will also be used as part of the rollout. Deep field Defender offers a comprehensive perspective on DDoS assaults throughout the whole network, correctly identifying them as they happen for the highest levels of protection and mitigation. It does this using big data analytics and Deep field Secure Genome, its unique security intelligence feed.

Deep field Cloud Intelligence Solution

Additionally, Telecentro will deploy the Deep field Cloud Intelligence solution, which will give it cost-effective, real-time, and actionable insight into all its network flows by optimizing Telecentro’s network infrastructure and resources.

Nokia’s 1830 PSS-8

Additionally, Nokia’s 1830 PSS-8 (Photonic Service Switch), a member of its family of DWDM multiservice, multilayer packet optical transport network (P-OTN) platforms that offer efficient optical transport at any scale, from compact access to the converged OTN/DWDM core, will be used in the network deployment.

With the help of this collaboration between Telecentro and Nokia, Telecentro will be better able to secure its network infrastructure from DDoS threats and assaults, enabling it to offer future services and expand its subscriber base. As a consequence, the network will use less energy, spend less money, and be able to sustainably handle future traffic increases.
