Some Helpful Advice for BSNL Mobile Customers Using International Roaming

  • When traveling overseas, if you run into any problems, you may file a complaint at www.ir.bsnl.co.in or by calling +919434024365.
  • Before leaving India, verify sure your handset will function in the nation you are visiting by checking its compatibility with the network frequency (GSM MHz 850/900/1800/1900). Japan and Korea support 3G hand sets, whereas the USA and Canada accept 1900 MHz hand sets.
  • Call the number beginning with the prefix +91 to return home.
  • Even when you are not using certain Data/GPRS-based applications, such as GPS, Facebook, Blackberry Messenger, or any other instant messaging program, you will still incur significant Data Roaming fees. Smart phones and high-end GPRS enabled handsets that continually poll (connect with) the home network fall under this category.
