A DT said that The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is developing a syllabus for the new courses to satisfy the needs of the industry, according to a senior official from the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), who said that 5G is a distinct technology. More career prospects for engineering students would arise with the launch of full-time 5G courses.

Only a few private universities now conduct part-time 5G courses, but the addition of full-time courses will provide students a rare chance to receive training in this technology. Understanding the design and development of 5G network technologies, including radio networks, cloud technology, and protocol creation and testing, will be done practically in the courses.

Faculty members will receive training by building up use case laboratories in colleges during the program’s initial phase, which will be utilized to develop 5G mobile apps. The development and promotion of 5G technology in the nation will be covered by experts from the National Telecommunications Institute for Policy Research, Innovation, and Training (NTIPRIT) and the Department of Telecommunications’ (DoT) innovation cell. To raise awareness of 5G courses and the construction of use case labs, a similar webinar will be held.
