The next-generation Cloud PBX Services are about to be made available to corporate, small, and medium-sized business clients across India by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). Through the provision of Voice & Data PBX (Private Branch Exchange) at their locations on an apartment cum utilization basis, BSNL provides telecommunication services to organization clients, including Government Organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, MNCs, Corporate, Hotels and Housing Societies, and all other essential clients.

As technology advances, business customers opt to adopt cloud-based PABX and Unified Communications (UC) solutions that provide mobility for voice, video, and data while eliminating the need for a large amount of gear on-site. Also, because they have a big part-cell workforce and relatively limited spaces, the Micro & limited Commercial Enterprise Segment (MSME) in the United States loves these kinds of solutions. The public space, notably in India’s semi-urban and rural areas, provides all other essential options for cloud-based or digital private branch exchange solutions.

BSNL Cloud PBX – System Architecture

With the changing market conditions and technical developments in mind, BSNL plans to form partnerships with companies to provide cloud-based PBX services to its customers in the market. As a result, proposals are being accepted from interested and qualified parties to join forces in offering cloud-based IP phone services to BSNL customers on a revenue-sharing and non-differentiated basis. There will be two stages to the Cloud PBX Franchisee empanelment process:

National Level: The franchisee appointed to the National Level may at some point be eligible to engage in commercial activity in any of the BSNL-certified regions.

Circle Level: The franchisee appointed to the circle stage, together with the Metro Districts of Chennai and Kolkata, may have the right to absorb commercial business at some point inside the participating circle exclusively. On the Circle stage, circle-stage empanelment might be accomplished.

BSNL Cloud PBX Partnership Policy Highlights

With reasonable qualifying requirements, EOI also allows for the empanelment of start-up businesses and the expansion of partners/franchisees.
If any vendor does not currently have tested experience with cloud-based PABX service, EOI requires POC.
A Proof of Concept (POC) will be completed using BBNW (Circle and validate the response) before the Franchisee is allowed to commercially release the Service.
The franchisee has three months from the date of the agreement to demonstrate all of the planned products that integrate the entire cloud PBX device with NGN and CDR devices.
The EOI specifies a one-time fee of Rs 2 lakh for the testing, validation, and integration of the Partners solution.

The revenue share pattern that applies to partners of BSNL Cloud PBX is displayed in the above table. A cloud PBX franchisee can get up to 60% of the income from Cloud PABX services (voice mail extensions, basic cloud PBX service, additional features, etc.). For SIP-based voice services, call costs, and DID charges, however, they can only receive 20% of the revenue.
