With effect from May 1st, 2017, BSNL will reduce the monthly rental and security deposit for FTTH ONT Modems across all of India.

BSNL has slashed the monthly rental and security deposit of the FTTH ONT modem.

We already know that BSNL has taken a number of steps to introduce cutting-edge and user-friendly services for its clients in both the Wireless & Wired segments. According to the most recent information, the PSU will reduce the monthly rental and security deposit for FTTH (Fiber to the Home – Fiber Broadband Services) ONT Modems starting on May 1st, 2017, and applying to the entire country.

BSNL is currently making agreements with local cable TV operators & building owners to provide state-of-the-art FTTH Broadband services to customers at most affordable & economical tariff plans. Monthly rental of FTTH ONT modem has been reduced to Rs 90/- from existing rate of Rs 150/- whereas security deposit has been halved to Rs 500/- from existing rate of Rs 1000/-.

All other terms and conditions shall remain same as per earlier circulars. These instructions shall be effective with effect from 01-05-2017 in all the Circles.

BSNL has announced the revision of its unlimited broadband plans to offer minimum download speed of 4Mbps for all existing and new customers. The revised / upgraded broadband plans are also going to be implemented on 1st May 2017. In addition, the pre-FUP download quota of some selected broadband plans has also increased without increasing monthly rental.
