Air India and BSNL in discussions to offer Wi-Fi.

Soon, BSNL will offer Wi-Fi internet service to passengers on international flights operated by Air India. According to the most recent information, Air India and BSNL are in discussions about installing Wi-Fi in its aircraft.

The airline has requested that Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) determine the viability and provide a cost estimate for installing Wi-Fi inside its aircraft. Additionally, Air India is in discussions with a number of foreign on-board internet service providers.

An upper-level representative of Air India stated, “We are eager to have internet on board as AI flies the longest flights out of India and this is a feature that is being progressively offered by numerous top international airlines. We are first determining the project’s cost, and if it is determined to be possible, we would like to have the same on our aircraft.

The long-haul nonstop flights operated by Air India to North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia will include Wi-Fi. Ashwani Lohani, the CEO of Air India, recently met with Shri. Anupam Shrivastava, the CMD of BSNL, and asked him to determine if it would be feasible and how much it would cost to install on-board Wi-Fi on the airline’s flights.
