As Per Latest Information For prepaid and postpaid mobile subscribers, BSNL will have blackout days before Diwali (October 28) and Diwali (October 29).

Blackout days affect voice, roaming, SMS, ISD STVs.

Pre-Diwali (October 28) and Diwali (October 29) have been designated as Blackout Days for Prepaid and Postpaid Mobile Customers by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). For both prepaid and postpaid mobile users, there will be no discounted rates on voice calls or SMS on blackout days.

The blackout would affect all voice, roaming, SMS, ISD STVs, friends and family offers, free calls to Pyari Jodi landlines, plan voucher freebies, etc. Additionally included are the voice STVs 135/149/159/449/201/among others. On certain days, prepaid mobile phone customers cannot make voice calls or send SMS messages without topping up their main account balance.

On these days, customers are urged to take advantage of the current Full Talk Time / Extra Talk Time Offers and Diwali Special Combo STVs. For prepaid mobile subscribers, BSNL’s Diwali Special Combo STVs (Combo STV15, Combo STV77, and Combo STV177) give Full Talk Value & Free Data. On these Blackout Days, too, you may utilize these promotional combination vouchers.

For its postpaid mobile customers throughout India, BSNL announced a distinct schedule of blackout days. Following are specifics regarding Postpaid Mobile Customers’ Blackout Days:

Blackout Days for Postpaid Mobile in 2016 for BSNL Mobile (All Telecom Circles)

All 2G and 3G mobile plans come with a free voice or SMS credit at sign-up or on a monthly basis (Plan Voucher Freebies). On blackout days, these discounted freebies won’t be available, and all calls and SMS will still be paid according to their standard tariff plan.

During blackout days, the discounted rates on Voice/SMS STVs (Special Tariff Vouchers), discounted calling offers like “Friend & Family” & “Pyari Jodi,” etc., will also be discontinued. On these blackout days, all of your voice calls and SMS will be paid in accordance with the parent plan.
