BSNL offers 4Mbps minimum download speed and increases pre-FUP download quota.

As we previously reported, BSNL, the largest fixed-line broadband provider in India, has announced the adjustment of its current Unlimited Broadband plans to give a minimum speed of 4 Mbps starting on May 1st, 2017, across all circles.

The pre-FUP download quota for practically all unlimited internet plans will be increased by BSNL, according to the most recent information, without increasing monthly rentals. From May 1 through May 5, 2017, BSNL’s most popular TRUE Unlimited Broadband plan, 1199, will give 4 Mbps download speed up to 20 GB and afterwards flat 2 Mbps and unlimited calls to any network. With an FMC of Rs. 675 and more, BSNL would provide an initial download speed of at least “up to 4 Mbps” for all DSL/FTTH broadband plans (PAN India/Circle Specific).

BSNL’s Revised Broadband Plans from 01-05-2017 in all the circles

These guidelines will take effect on January 5, 2017. Existing subscribers to these plans may keep using them. The goal is to switch these people to another plan, though. The aforementioned clauses shall also apply to the appropriate FTTH plans because all DSL Broadband plans are also accessible on FTTH. The preceding circulars’ terms and conditions will continue to apply to all other matters.
