As Per Latest Information BSNL extended the scheme of ‘receipt of payment of postpaid bills through retailer C-Top Up and e-distributors’ up to 31st December 2017 on PAN India basis

BSNL extends postpaid bill payment scheme for 3 months.

The plan of “receipt of payment of postpaid bills through retailer C-Top Up by franchisees and E-distributors” would be extended by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for a term ending on December 31, 2017, on a PAN India basis.

As we reported earlier, BSNL started accepting the payment of postpaid bills of Landline, Broadband, CDMA and WiMAX Services through retailer C-Top Up / e-Distributors across India. The scheme was expired on 30th September 2017.

Now, based on the feedback from field units, BSNL authorities has decided to extend the scheme for another period of 3 months i.e., up to 31-12-2017 or up to the implementation of modified scheme whichever is earlier.

Retailers can buy separate Postpaid Bill / CBP (C-Top Up / Cellone Bill Payment) Wallet stock if they want to take Postpaid Mobile Bills. Retailers can get more information about the plan and commission structure by getting in touch with their franchisee office.

Salient Features of Postpaid Bill / CBP (C-Top Up Bill Payment)

  • Separate stock has to be taken by each dealer – one for Prepaid another for Postpaid Bill (CBP)
  • The CBP service is through USSD Platform (222MPIN#)
  • Commission as applicable will be added to Franchisee after transaction is done unlike upfront commission given in Prepaid wallet.

Through this program, postpaid BSNL users of landline, broadband, mobile, CDMA, and wimax services are able to pay their bills at their neighborhood BSNL retailer every day of the week, even after business hours. The Franchisees were also given a flat 2% up-front commission (without any upper capping) as part of this plan. This program is a really smart move by BSNL and it will lessen the crowds at BSNL Bill Counters on the day of the payment deadline.
