In collaboration with Hotspot Wi-Fi Service Providers (HSSPs), BSNL has announced the launch of two new bulk user Wi-Fi plans, “WiFi-BU-212” and “WiFi-BU-234,” for the provision of Wi-Fi services to bulk user consumers.

BSNL has introduced the creation of new bulk-person Wi-Fi plans – ‘WiFi-BU-212’ & ‘WiFi-BU-234’ for presenting Wi-Fi offerings to Bulk User clients in affiliation with Hotspot Wi-Fi Service Providers (HSSPs).

The PSU has also chosen to discontinue one of its current bulk user Wi-Fi plans, “WiFi-BU-214,” for new clients in addition to the release of new plans. New consumers won’t be allowed to join the withdrawn plan, but current members will still be covered. These most recent price changes will take effect across all telecom circles on June 3, 2021.

An Official circular from BSNL regarding the revision in tariff for bulk user follows: – plans read as follows: –

The Competent Authority has made the decision “to withdraw the Bulk User Wi-Fi Plans ‘WiFi-BU-214’ for New Customers and introduce two new Bulk User Wi-Fi Plans for providing Wi-Fi services to Bulk User Customer in association with HSSP (Hot Spot Service Provider)”.

Wi-Fi services offered by Wi-Fi Hot Spot Service Providers (HSSPs) are now included under newly introduced bulk user Wi-Fi plans from BSNL (effective from 03-06-2021 across all telecom circles).

According to each HSSP’s individual work order or agreement, the income share with them will be split. The aforementioned guidelines will be applied starting on June 3, 2021, throughout all Circles. The terms and conditions for any other bulk user Wi-Fi plans that now exist to provide Wi-Fi services to bulk user customers in conjunction with HSSP will not change from past circulars.

Enterprise Business / Corporate customers like Hotels, Hospitals, Universities, Colleges, Local Self-Governing bodies, Public Libraries etc may avail BSNL Wi-Fi services at most affordable tariff plans. BSNL will be installing these Wi-Fi access points through Wi-Fi service providers. Tariff plans depends on the number of access points (APs) & backhaul bandwidth provided to hot spot location. BSNL will be responsible for Wi-Fi user authentication, authorization and accounting and hence bulk user customer need not worry about user authentication and related issues.
