On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day (December 31 and January 1, 2018), BSNL will be down.

BSNL has declared New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day as Blackout Days, with no concessional tariffs.

For both prepaid and postpaid mobile customers, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has designated New Year’s Eve (December 31) and New Year’s Day (January 1st) as blackout dates. For both prepaid and postpaid mobile users, there will be no discounted rates on voice calls or SMS on blackout days.

All Voice, Roam, SMS, ISD STVs, Friends and Family Offer, Free Calls to Pyari Jodi Landline, etc. will be blacked out. This also applies to Voice STVs 135/149/159, etc. A prepaid cell phone client must top up their main account balance in order to make voice calls or send SMS messages on these days.
On certain days, customers are urged to take advantage of the current Full Talk Time / Extra Talk Time Offers. But on December 31 and January 1 (blackout days), BSNL’s Special Combo STVs (Combo STV15, Combo STV77, and Combo STV177) and Unlimited Voice calls with Plan 186 / 446 (Kerala Plan 446) are also accessible.

All 2G and 3G mobile plans come with a free voice or SMS credit at sign-up or on a monthly basis (Plan Voucher Freebies). On blackout days, these discounted freebies won’t be available, and all calls and SMS will still be paid according to their standard tariff plan.

During blackout days, the discounted rates on Voice/SMS STVs (Special Tariff Vouchers), discounted calling offers like “Friend & Family” & “Pyari Jodi,” etc., will also be discontinued. On these blackout days, all of your voice calls and SMS will be paid in accordance with the parenting plan.
