Any browser may be used to enter it and log in using a username and password.

DNS Setting on ONT/ONU

The network’s speed will increase with proper DNS settings. Use ONT/ONU’s login and password to log in. Next, input the primary and secondary DNS addresses under Network, LAN IP Address.

As needed, we may also set each device’s DNS value, including a PC, laptop, mobile device, etc. The image above illustrates how DNS is configured on a computer.

For faster performance, configure 802.1p with ‘Null’ in the ONT/ONU configuration.

FTTH Speed Issues: We must test the speed of LAN-connected devices while in bridge mode and pinging the LAN IP of the ONT continuously; the ping time must be less than or equal to one millisecond.

Issues with FTTH plans’ speeds beyond 100 Mbps

The EPON/GEPON OLTs/ONTs can only deliver speeds up to 100 mbps. Performance will be improved with GPON OLTs/ONTs. Customer laptop or PC Ethernet ports have to be gigabit.
