Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced the revision in tariff plans for Global Satellite Phone Service (GSPS) for its clients throughout India. As consistent with the modern-day information, BSNL has determined to withdraw pay-as-you-go-as-you-go as you go tariff plans – Remote Area Plans viz RAP 1 & RAP 2 – which had been to be had to unique Governmental or Government appointed representatives in far-off areas.

In addition, the PSU has additionally determined to revise pay-as-you-go in addition to post-paid tariff plans for each Government and Commercial customer with impact from 1st April 2021. For Prepaid Customers

It is obligatory to recharge within 7 days after the validity expired date of the package deal subscription. If the recharge isn’t always carried out within 7 days after the validity expired date, the subsequent penalty will be applicable: –

a) Reactivation fees of Rs. 10,000 per terminal are applied to Grace 2 subscribers who want to recharge their phones.

b) Rs. 25,000 per terminal for Grace 2E category consumers who need to recharge their phones.

c) If the client does not recharge within 365 days after the last validity date, the connection will be cut off, and if the customer wishes to recharge more than 365 days after the last validity date, reconnection fees of Rs. 45000/- per terminal will be assessed.

Grace 2 Category: When a customer doesn’t recharge within seven days of a package’s expiration date, they are placed in this category. Grace 2 period runs from the eighth day after the package’s validity expires to the 165th day after the validity expired.

Customers who do not recharge within 8 to 165 days of the package’s expiration date are placed in the Grace 2E Category. Beginning on the 166th day after the package’s validity has ended, the grace 2E period lasts through the 365th day.

*Call Charges indicated under Disaster Category shall be applicable only when Government declares a disastrous situation in affected area.

For Post-paid Customers

For the post-paid customers, if payment is not received within 60 days of bill date, the connection will be disconnected and re-connection charges of Rs. 25000/- per connection will be charged from the customer.\

General Terms & Conditions for BSNL Satellite Phone Services (GSPS)

All the above charges are exclusive of GST. All applicable taxes including GST shall be extra as applicable from time to time. The cost of the handset is excluding of applicable taxes, license fees, and spectrum charges as applicable. WPC Charges shall be levied from each customer per year per handset and an operating license is to be issued to the user. These are the mandatory charges to be deposited to WPC, and DoT on yearly basis to renew the operating license. At present, the WPC charges are Rs. 14250/- per handset per year which includes Rs. 250 as License Fee (LF) and Rs. 14000/- as Spectrum Charges (SUC). GST shall be extra on WPC Charges. WPC Charges (License Fee and Spectrum Charges) are to be paid to WPC, DoT on annual basis and these charges will be charged separately as these charges are to be deposited to WPC, DoT. Late payment of WPC charges will attract a late fee of @2% per month compounded annually on the total spectrum charges due.

The tariff for calls destined outside India/ to other Inmarsat services/ other Satellite Phones will be worked out separately in consultation with Inmarsat U. K. Presently such calls may be routed through the ILD Network of BSNL and additional charges for ILD shall be applicable for International Call charges.

All entities other than the Central government and State Government organizations are categorized as Commercial entities and commercial tariffs shall be applicable for such organizations.

For ISD / International Roaming Facility

The BSNL Inmarsat community has near-worldwide insurance on land or at sea.
