The introduction of Telia Norway’s new augmented reality (AR) technology is intended to offer consumers more individualized and superior customer service. To include its See Signal SW software, which monitors and computes Wi-Fi signals for the entire area, the telecom provider has worked with the California-based firm Bad VR. By turning the signals into tangible colors, the technology will allow Telia’s customer support staff to view Wi-Fi coverage in a customer’s house, assisting consumers in optimizing their Wi-Fi coverage.

This app shows how the Wi-Fi signals propagate throughout the space when used with Microsoft’s Holo Lense 2 AR Headset. Telia will then be able to see how the signals vary when you relocate the routers and Mesh solutions. Customers will be better able to recognize the difference for themselves and get used to how the coverage changes depending on where they are in the flat.
