BSNL suspends prepaid International WiFi service with Tata Communications.

The worldwide prepaid Wi-Fi service that BSNL, a public telecommunications operator, offered in collaboration with M/s Tata Communications has been suspended.

According to the most recent information, BSNL has stopped the contract for international Wi-Fi services with M/s Tata Communications. Additionally, it is known that BSNL is presently talking with a new partner about the aforementioned services.

As we reported in January 2017, BSNL launched its International Wi-Fi services through 44 million Wi-Fi hotspots in partnership with M/s Tata Communications Wi-Fi+ and Wi-Fi cloud communication solution. Under this scheme, unlimited international Wi-Fi services can be availed by a customer who is travelling abroad without even taking International Roaming facility on your existing BSNL mobile number.

The BSNL officials have now said that although talks with the new partner have begun, it would still take some time to come to a definitive agreement and complete technical integration.
