As per latest information Beginning on September 6, 2021, BSNL will announce promotional offers for customers with pay-as-you-go mobile contracts that have expired.

BSNL might be permitting incoming SMS facilities best to pay-as-you-go cellular clients in North Zone and West Zone

Incoming SMS services may be best provided by BSNL to pay-as-you-go mobile customers in the North and West Zones. At the same time, BSNL decided to prevent all pay-as-you-go cellular customers in the East and South Zones whose validity has ended from using the incoming SMS feature. Beginning on September 6, 2021, and running for a limited period of 60 days across all telecom circles, the aforementioned promotional plans and offers are made available by BSNL.

The following was said in an official BSNL announcement on the introduction of promotional incentives for prepaid mobile subscribers in Grace Period 2 (GP2): .

The competent authority has decided the following under the GSM Prepaid Mobile Services: –

A. As a promotional offer, GP2 users in the North and West Zone INs are permitted to receive incoming SMS messages for a period of sixty days.

B. In order to promote and encourage GP2 consumers in VLR to recharge and become active customers, South Zone and East Zone IN are required to block the incoming SMS feature for GP2 customers for a period of sixty days.

Conditions: –

  • Incoming SMS functionality for GP2 customers may be promptly repaired by South Zone/East Zone, allowing them to send the SMS name to GP2 clients in VLR for sale and recharge.
  • However, GP2 customers in VLR must no longer be permitted to use this inbound facility SMS for longer than three days at a time.
  • The O/G voice/SMS capability of GP2 clients may not be permitted under any circumstances. GP2 clients must always be blocked from accessing it.

The aforementioned special offer may be applicable for 60 days starting on June 9, 2021. The Telecom Tariff Order’s forty-third Amendment, as well as any instructions, guidelines, or clarifications that TRAI may from time to time issue, must be followed when implementing the tariff. Pay-as-you-go customers with expired validity can activate any plan or unique tariff coupon that best suits their needs. With a 397/-recharge, BSNL offers a validity of 300 days along with the benefit of unlimited calls, data, and SMS for the first 60 days following the recharge.

The telecom circles of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh (W), Uttar Pradesh (E), and Uttaranchal are all included in the North Zone (NZ).

The following telecom circles are part of South Zone (SZ): Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

The telecom circles of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh are included in the West Zone (WZ).

Andaman & Nicobar, Assam, Bihar, Jharkand, Kolkata, North East I, North East II, Orissa, and West Bengal are among the telecom circles that are included in the East Zone (EZ).
