According to the most recent information, BSNL will simplify its DSL broadband Internet services starting on March 1, 2021, by removing existing plans and adjusting others.

The state-run telecom giant BSNL has announced the revision/reformulation of current DSL Broadband services across India after announcing the reformulation of the Bharat Fiber (FTTH) plans. This fashionable tariff change may be applicable starting on March 1, 2021, as a regular offer.

At present, BSNL is offering a daily usage cap on almost all existing DSL Broadband plans which is going to be changed with this latest tariff revision. The PSU has also decided to reduce the number of DSL Broadband plans to a minimum by withdrawing around 10 existing broadband plans

Plans that have been revised with new fixed monthly fees.

  • Existing customers who are currently subscribed to the “2GB BSNL CUL,” “2GB CUL,” “3GB CUL,” “4GB CUL,” “5GB CUL,” and “12GB CUL” plans must continue to use such plans in accordance with the above-mentioned plan mapping.
  • Existing customers will be alerted about the modification in FMC under plans “2GB BSNL CUL,” “2GB CUL,” “3GB CUL,” “4GB CUL,” “5GB CUL,” and “12GB CUL” in a timely manner (by SMS, bills, etc.).

Plans that have been revised yet have the same fixed monthly fees.

  • Existing customers who are currently subscribed to the 10GB CUL Family, 25GB CUL, 30GB CUL, and 35GB CUL DSL Broadband plans may continue to do so with the amended Plan Name and Fixed Monthly Charge listed in the above table. To the extent that it is feasible, attempts will be made to move these clients to alternative broadband plans.
  • Existing customers who have chosen the Half Yearly/Annual/Two Year/Three Year payment option prior to the modification in tariff may not be charged the revised rate until their current Annual/Two Year/Three Year subscription has expired. Additionally, current customers who recently selected the aforementioned plans under the monthly payment option prior to the modification in price may not be charged the new tariff until the expiration of the six-month subscription period from the date of their original plan selection.

The above fees do not include GST. The aforementioned directives must be followed regularly beginning on March 1, 2021, in all Telecom circles (apart from A&N circle).

Conditions for supplying the aforementioned DSL Broadband plans:

New PAN India DSL Broadband plans namely viz. ‘100GB CUL’, ‘200GB CUL’, ‘500GB CUL’ as we reported earlier, and also above-mentioned revised plan ‘1600GB CUL’, which are in offer after introduction/reformulation, shall not be available on Bharat Fiber for new customers.

The following plans will be available for new clients to subscribe to beginning on March 1, 2021, following the adjustment.

There will only be six broadband plans available for new consumers to subscribe to following the revision and reformulation: 100GB CUL, 200GB CUL, 500GB CUL, Super Star-1, Super Star-2, and 1600GB CUL. It indicates that starting on March 1, 2021, new or current customers can switch to any of these 6 broadband plans.

Up to March 31, 2021, BSNL will not charge installation fees for Bharat Fiber (FTTH), landline, and broadband connections.
