BSNL has introduced a charge for Wi-Fi hotspot connections used by numerous individuals.

BSNL introduces a tariff for temporary Wi-Fi Hotspot connection.

The public telecommunications company BSNL has introduced a tariff for temporary Wi-Fi hotspot connections. The fee applies to consumer Wi-Fi services provided by HSSP (Hot Spot Service Provider) and BSNL Wi-Fi Downloads 4G plus projects in all circles.

For a temporary WiFi hotspot with 2 Mbps bandwidth for 7 days, BSNL would only charge Rs. 1485 as a bandwidth fee. Rs. 2723 will be paid for a 4 Mbps WiFi Hotspot and Rs. 5500 for a 10 Mbps. A Rs 10,000 installation fee is also required in advance for the first hotspot.

Charges for momentary WiFi hotspot connections for many people


  • *Backhaul bandwidth fees above will be charged on a minimum weekly basis for services lasting up to 7 days. The customer may be given the option of numerous backhaul rates if they need services for a period of time longer than seven days.
  • Additional backhaul connection fees from the closest media end point will apply.
  • The GST will be added when necessary.

The rest of the terms and conditions will not change. The aforementioned instructions take effect in all Circles right away. Revenue sharing with HSSP will be done in accordance with the contract.
