According to the most recent information, BSNL has stopped offering its prepaid clients the Freedom Plan, Data Combo Vouchers, and Blackberry STVs.

BSNL withdraws Freedom Plan, Combo STVs and Prepaid Blackberry STVs from 30th December 2019.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the withdrawal of certain offers for its prepaid mobile customers effective December 30, 2019.

According to the most recent information, BSNL has PAN India-wide discontinued the Freedom Plan (Plan Voucher 136), Data Combo Vouchers (15/76/177), and all of the current Blackberry STVs for its prepaid users.

An official statement from BSNL read as follows: – The competent authority has decided for withdrawal of Freedom Plan and STVs under GSM prepaid mobile services with effect from 30-12-2019 as detailed below.

Withdrawal of PV 136 (Freedom Plan)

Existing clients will continue to use their current plans until they expire. The user has the option to switch to any plan of their choosing. Customers would, however, automatically be switched to the PV 44 (Deepam Plan) upon the expiration of their current validity by deducting Rs. 44 from their main account balance, provided that their main account balance is still available.

On December 30, 2019, the aforementioned tariff order will come into force. The 43rd Amendment to the Telecom Tariff Order and any instructions, guidelines, or clarifications that TRAI may issue from time to time will be complied with in the implementation of the tariff.
