Exclusive: BSNL updates its prepaid mobile Per Second and Per Minute plans.

BSNL revises features of FRC 106 & 107 plans.

With effect from May 1st, 2019, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced changes to the Per Second and Per Minute prepaid mobile plans (FRC 106 & 107)’s features.

According to the most recent information, BSNL has included 20 SMS (any network, local/national) for 24 days and Unlimited Voice calls to any network in Home LSA and National Roaming, including Delhi & Mumbai. Additionally, BSNL has decided to withhold always full talk time for these plans on Top Ups of Rs. 500 and higher.

The following was said in an official announcement on the rationalization of the prepaid FRC (First Recharge Coupon) of Rs. 106/107: “Approval of the competent authority is thus transmitted to rationalize Per Second and Per Minute plans (FRC 106/107) under prepaid mobile services as follows with effect from 01.05.2019:

A. Plan giveaways using FRC 106 or 107: Unlimited voice calls to any network when at home or traveling around the country, including Delhi and Mumbai 20 SMS (any network, local or national), also for 24 days.

B. Withdrawal of Full Talk Value on Top up of Rs 500/- and above.

C. Kindly note the special benefit of Full talk value offer on Top-up of Rs.500/- and above is also withdrawn for Plans 446 / 666 / 1699 / 2099 / 97.

The aforementioned rate will take effect on 1 May 2019. The tariff shall be implemented in compliance with the 43rd Amendment to the Telecom Tariff Order and any instructions, guidelines, or clarifications that TRAI may issue from time to time.

For your fast reference, the most recent BSNL rate increases scheduled to take effect on May 1st are mentioned below: –

  • With effect from 1 May 2019 forward, BSNL increased the validity of Unlimited Data STV 198 from 28 days to 54 days.
  • Some of the current Unlimited STVs were removed by BSNL starting on May 1st, 2019.
  • All landline users will now have access to BSNL’s “Home WiFi” 5GB Free Trial Broadband Plan through May 31, 2019.
  • Customers of landlines, broadband, and Bharat Fiber (FTTH) will continue to receive a 25% cashback offer from BSNL through May 31.
  • Beginning on May 1st, 2019, BSNL changed its data rates for both prepaid and postpaid mobile subscribers.
  • The Extra Data Offer from BSNL is available with Unlimited Plans and STVs till June 30, 2019.
  • With immediate effect, BSNL stopped providing NGN Prepaid Landline Service in all circles.
